Profile
Hello, My name is Joshua Lee Toler. I began playing music at the age of six. I was first involved with playing the piano and vocal training. When I was nine I picked up the violin and continued to play the violin until I was fourteen as a freshman in High School. My primary instrument; the trumpet, has been in my hands since I was eleven years old. I began studying with my elementary music teacher, and former Army band member, Bruce Penticoff. One year after I began my first trumpet studies, I began studying with another local musician, John Kuntz. I studied with John Kuntz for a total of five years. Then, I met John Almeida from the University of Central Florida, and have been studying with him for about three years. I have always held a passion and a drive for music. Ever since I was a little child, I enjoyed working with musicians and enjoyed building my craft. I would not be where I am today without the help of my family, mentors, and friends. I thank God every day for the gifts that he has given me, and I remember the importance of using these gifts to the best of my abilities.

Skill Set
I am a motivated person to say the least. My idea of a good day starts in the practice room and ends in the practice room. I am an extremely organized person, which bids well in many ways. I am able to keep to a strict schedule, and never fall off track of what I need to accomplish on a daily basis. I am able to balance a tough workload on top of private practice sessions that will range from four to six hours a day. I use my time wisely, and always work my hardest to get things done. I am a confident, outgoing person, that uses my talents and abilities for the greater good of society. I ensure that my ego does not take hold of my humbleness and professional status. I work well with others, and I feel that playing music is only part of what I do. This profession is a business. Therefore, I allow myself to be a very open person to approach, and have conversations with. My mentality is that my ability to play my instrument is only 49% of what I am known for in the business of music. the other 51% includes my personality, and how I work with others. I work well with other peers advice, and respect everyones opinions and beliefs. In my personal views, every part in the section is an important part. I respect and and treat every player equally on a professional level and a personal level.
